My iMesa idea is...

Connect Mesa Riverview Park to Tempe Town Lake via a Salt River Walking/Biking Path

Connect the new Riverview Park/Wrigleyville complex to Tempe Marketplace and Tempe Town Lake with a universal Walking/Running/Biking Path along the Salt River.

North Mesa is already a Destination for avid road bicylists who find the long East/West routes along Brown Rd and McKellips to be scenic and enjoyable. They can bike from Tempe Town Lake to the Superstition Mountains and back. Or they can head north on 87 to Fountain Hills.

Reviewed/walked potential ROW with city transportation staff 2/3 years ago. Very doable with ADOT ROW, and some SRP leases...

I believe there is ARRA funding for this already. Hopefully we get it! I've heard that there's already a path beneath the freeway over by Riverview that connects to the river. Have you visited it?
