Alley annexation
Annex all alleys over to the property owners making them financially responsible for the upkeep of the alleys. Once that happens valuable volunteer resources could be put to better use. Why should the community continue to foot the bill when many of the alley waste is the resdients disposing of items themselves or not caring enough to clear vegetation from behind homes. Maybe if they were allowed to expand the property line or block them off completely our illegal activity & homeless situation may improve as well as the feeling of being safe.
When does any of this illegal…2 votes -
Finish Residential street projects once you begin them
Streets will go into residential neighborhoods, scrape a one foot square in many places, fix it unevenly & then create larger cracks to seal, yet they have yet to go back & fix the streets completely leaving once good residential streets looking very unmaintained and horrible. If kids ride skateboards they are more likely to be injured in their own neighborhood than on a main city street. My thought is to finish projects completely that you start. We need to have pride & be safe where we live & where kids play and that is our residential neighborhoods. If the…

Designate Mesa Restaurant Week
Thanks to Mesa's cultural diversity, we have amazing restaurants. Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, pasties, Native American cuisine... we're the best-kept secret in the Valley. Let's not be! Foodies should discover Mesa and spend their money at our local dining establishments. If we had a Restaurant Week promoted through Facebook, inexpensive maps and a media event with participating retailers, we'd have a foodie invasion on our hands, and many return visitors later.

Security and site management needs to be built on past experiences ....transforming what current beliefs and how things were in the past. Past experience in transformation of Mesa has been doing the Bass Pro/MeKong Plaza/Hyatt Hotel/Earnhardt Dealerships/

Electric shuttles btwn city buildings downtown
Save fuel and promote clean air in downtown by providing electric cart shuttles for Mesa City employees to move between buildings for meetings. Electric golf carts could be driven and operated by AmeriCorps volunteers or retirees looking for ways to volunteer and be involved and used to shuttle city employees between buildings such as Solid Waste and MCP.

Make Mesa more Dog-Friendly
Mesa only has two dog parks, and one of them is barely more than a glorified backyard! There are some dog-friendly restaurants, but they are few & far between. The only ones near me are Sonic & Chipotle, and who wants to eat at Sonic all the time??
Anyplace that has outdoor eating areas should look into ways to make them more dog-friendly. Have a hostess outside, who can seat visitors in a dog-friendly patio area, and alert waitresses to their presence. And while you're at it, be sure to have plenty of water & treats available for the dogs!…6 votes -

Channel 10 News Wheres Andy??
Stop looking for income on the backs of retirees. We are poor, and cannot afford more taxation, such as the option ("carrot") of reducing sales taxes and INCREASING property taxes.

East Mesa - Hot Air Balloon Event
East Mesa should capitalize on the superstition background and create a event where all arizonans can enjoy Hot Air Balloon Event. Away from the city, Great panaromic view of supersitition mountain and Phoenix city of lights on the other. City of Mesa can get some sales tax out of this event from locals and snowbirds alike,

When Mesa Jr. Closes, tear it down and replace the area with new good softball fields and a park, to replace the fields we are losing at Riverview.
