all small city parks
i like the idea of having a cover over the small parks with small playgrounds. it helps to keep the not so hot in the summer time and i like the idea of a fence or gate around it to keep kids in and safe.

school or churches donate time to clean parks
have school groups (kids need service hours) or church groups to sign up to clean and maintain city parks. This would create personal pride in our community.

Finish Residential street projects once you begin them
Streets will go into residential neighborhoods, scrape a one foot square in many places, fix it unevenly & then create larger cracks to seal, yet they have yet to go back & fix the streets completely leaving once good residential streets looking very unmaintained and horrible. If kids ride skateboards they are more likely to be injured in their own neighborhood than on a main city street. My thought is to finish projects completely that you start. Electric shuttles btwn city buildings downtown
Save fuel and promote clean air in downtown by providing electric cart shuttles for Mesa City employees to move between buildings for meetings. Electric golf carts could be driven and operated by AmeriCorps volunteers or retirees looking for ways to volunteer and be involved and used to shuttle city employees between buildings such as Solid Waste and MCP.

Rethink extending the light rail.
Route the light rail down Dobson to Southern servicing the Fiesta district. Along Southern to Gilbert or Power then back north to Main and returning westbound on Main. There are several reasons to do this one to serve the Feista District and having only one line returning thru Main Street. This would also reduce the congestion thru Mesa.

Channel 10 News Wheres Andy??
Stop looking for income on the backs of retirees. We are poor, and cannot afford more taxation, such as the option ("carrot") of reducing sales taxes and INCREASING property taxes.
